Zack Keim pens an ode to long lost love in new single “Alice”

Date:

Folk singer-songwriter Zack Keim tells a tale of lost love in his newest single, “Alice.” Based in Pittsburgh, Keim is joined by singer Lauren Wain on harmonies, from local acclaimed band String Machine. The collaboration is the B-side to the single “Canyon,” the upcoming 7″ release coming out on October 14th.

“Alice” is a simple, feel good track that incorporates elements of psychedelic folk that enhance the actual storytelling. Filled with dreamy metaphors and raw feelings, the song describes heartbreak in an almost innocent way, which makes it very honest to the listener. The harmonies in the background bring the sounds together nicely, with a sense of catharsis that builds up with every chorus.

Keim’s influences are palpable in “Alice”, with a sound that is reminiscent of Bob Dylan’s singing style. Lauren Wain’s vocals bring a softer element to the track, and they balance each other beautifully; the song quickly becomes an energetic singalong that’s easy to remember, so everyone listening can join in and relate.
