Mitski’s first concert film to hit cinemas this October

Indie-pop darling Mitski has announced her first concert film, “The Last,” set to hit cinemas across 30 countries on Oct. 22.

Filmed during her three-night run at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in 2024, the film is co-directed by Mitski and Grant James.

The 2024 world tour supported the 2024 album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We with a 7-piece live band.

Known for her striking imagery, the film is set to feature stage design by Andi Watson and choreography by Monica Mirabile. Screening in 630 cinemas across 30 cities, the official synopsis describes the film as “Mitski: The Land converts the magic and majesty of witnessing Mitski live onto screen. Filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in 2024, this is a thrilling portrayal of what kept hundreds of thousands of fans rapt at venues across the globe.”

Tickets for the film go on sale on Sept. 15, and the film will be released on Oct. 22. Tickets will be available here.
