Lucy Frost releases new single “Lines”

Date:

Lucy Frost gets vulnerable about heartbreak in her new single “Lines.”

Frost is a Boston native, and her knack for songwriting developed at an early age after she found herself relating to the lyrics of Bob Dylan and Jeff Buckley. Her singles “D Day,” “Reputation,” and “Angeles” reflect the ebbs and flows of Lucy’s life while also containing universal themes tied to change and internal growth.

Her new dark pop single “Lines” uses vulnerable lyrics confront heartbreak and the process of getting over an ex. Lucy had this to say about her new single,

“‘Lines’ sonically captures the chaotic spiral of someone who just witnessed their ex with someone new for the first time. That gnawing need to tell the next person about them, the intrusive thoughts that control us in the moment, the impulsive actions we take that we immediately regret the next day. It’s paranoia while also being neurotic, until we’re forced to face the question: who have I become?”

The track is teeming with the vulnerability felt during a heartbreak; drawing comparisons to artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan
