The Blues and Greys Break Free in “RML”

Date:

The Blues and Greys, consisting of Lindsey Waldon, Zachary Wallace, Joey McDermott, and Michael Million recently released their latest single, “RML”. The band, based in Santa Barbara, California, fuses indie rock with electronic elements.

“RML” is about moving on and breaking free from someone playing games with your heart. Waldon sings, “You want me then you say you don’t / Act like this is all a joke” and “I’m gone and you’re alone”. She sings about escaping the emotional rollercoaster you were once tied to, and leaving the other person caught in their feelings while you move forward.

The Blues and Greys’ mastery of emotion in their music is a standout feature of the track, as the song’s production pairs perfectly with the lyrics. The drums and guitar make you feel even more deeply the sense of anger and frustration in Waldon’s words.

The Blues and Greys have received features from notable media outlets, such as The Huffington Post and MTV. They continue to make themselves known as they tour alongside nationally recognized bands including WALK THE MOON, Of Monsters and Men, and Banks.
