The Aces Drop Album Details, Release New Single

Date:

Two years ago, The Aces made a phenomenal debut with When My Heart Felt Volcanic, giving us pop rock bangers, “Stuck” and “Last One.”  Now, the dynamic girl group is back with their sophomore album, Under My Influence.  In a teaser video, the squad can be seen wreaking havoc at a photo shoot – throwing cake at each other, lighting things on fire…But, interjected between the chaos are hints about the album, from the track listing to the album title.  At the end of the video, we are given the release date of June 12, 2020.

To celebrate the announcement, The Aces dropped the all-too-real, “My Phone is Trying to Kill Me.”  The playful track observes the downside to owning a phone with social media access in this day-and-age.  Cristal sings, “Trying to live in the moment / I check that screen just one more time / My phone is trying to kill me.”  Indeed, our phones have a way of getting the better of us – everything is just one “quick glance” away!  You can check it out below.

This is the third single from Under My Influence, after “Lost Angeles” and “Daydream.” It makes a great addition to the new narrative of this album, and we cannot wait to hear more!  Be sure to pre-order Under My Influence here.
