Talker shows us her wild side in “Easygoing”

Talker Easygoing

Celeste Tauchar has been putting out music under her indie-rockstar alias, Talker, for the past 5 years. She currently has 3 EPs under her belt- all of which have received positive feedback from NPR, Billboard, Spotify editorials, and more. Talker’s most ambitious project yet is her upcoming debut album, which is said to cover topics such as her childhood trauma and the end of a long-term relationship. She’s ready to hit where it hurts, and talk about emotions that can be uncomfortable to share with the rest of the class.

Talker’s latest single “Easygoing” does just that. The lyrics follow the story of someone who’s unable to be securely attached in a relationship due to the nature of their parents. It’s incredibly honest, showing Talker as a deer in the headlights as she puts her vulnerability on display. The track itself takes inspiration from modern indie-rock/grunge artists, giving it a Slow Pulp & Wet Leg vibe. You can hear the passion and grit through Talker’s vocal performance in the song. With all of these elements together, you get a raw, cathartic, heavy-hitting outcome.
