Say Lou Lou entrances us with “Dust”

Date:

Say Lou Lou Dust

Swedish/Australian twin duo Say Lou Lou specializes in delivering dreamy vocals & synthy production to make their mark on electro-pop. The two began with their 2012 debut EP Maybe You before beginning their own record label “à Deux” in 2013. Their sound is similar to artists such as Grimes, FKA Twigs, and Cults. If you like ethereal vocals on top of bright, electronic production, we have a feeling you’ll like their latest track, “Dust”

“Dust” is punchy. The lyrics are raw and straightforward- touching on the feeling of watching someone you once loved turn into a completely different person. You can hear the twins sing in chilling unison- “There’s a stranger coming at me when you walk through the door, I don’t recognize the things I used to love anymore.” The production adds moments where the instrumentation sounds warped for just a quick second, possibly to represent how the melody familiar to the listener can change just as quickly as the person they’re singing about. Overall, “Dust” is an incredibly unique track from their latest project, and you can listen below.
