Rainsford navigates uncertainty in new song “Horse”

Date:

Rainsford is the solo musical project of Rainey Qualley. She is known for blending genres of indie pop, R&B, and soul to create vintage and nostalgic music. Her new song, “Horse,” focuses on the cycles of manipulation.

“Horse” is about falling for someone who can’t reciprocate those feelings. Through strong vocals and leading guitar, Rainsford navigates uncertainty in a partnership. Her lyrics describe the push and pull of this relationship and Rainsford’s desire to make something from it.

The song is the first single to be released from her debut album, coming later this year via Sparta Distribution. It was co-written and produced by Michael Kamerman (Smallpools). You can listen to “Horse” below.
