Kehlani delivers 2000s R&B vibes on “Out The Window”

Date:

Kehlani taps straight into pure 2000s R&B nostalgia with her latest release, “Out The Window” via Atlantic Records. It’s warm, slow, and emotionally heavy in all the right ways.

The production leans into classic R&B through layered harmonies, strings and soft percussion. Her vocals match it perfectly.

For her biggest fans, this release is even more exciting. The song’s been floating around through snippets on social media and early performances at her live shows, where fans were already singing it back to her before it had even dropped.

Kehlani doesn’t sugarcoat anything in her lyrics. She’s honest and vulnerable as she sings “The late nights, the half truths I was reckless, let me prove to you.”

This release comes after the huge success of her previous single “Folded,” which was her first Top 10 hit on Billboard 100 and a track that also grabbed her a Grammy nomination.

“Out the Window” is Kehlani doing what she does best.
