Industrial meets hyperpop in Halo Boy’s latest out-of-this-world release, “HEX”

Date:

Why do the symptoms of a curse, alien abduction, and love all feel the same sometimes…

Singer-songwriter, producer, and visionary Halo Boy has released his latest genre-defying single “HEX,” a sexy, dark electronic track, overwhelmed with the feelings of inescapable otherworldly infatuation.

The new single impressively combines the haunting industrial-rock style of Nine Inch Nails and the energetic alternative-hyperpop of 2hollis and Sophie Powers.

Produced and performed entirely by Halo Boy, “HEX” compares the enchantment of falling in love with being abducted by extraterrestrial beings atop a commanding melodic beat that is sure to get stuck in your head, with the lyrical style driving the message home: “My teeth are falling out of my head / My spit is poisoned with lead / No oxygen in my chest / I feel the heat run down the back of my neck / I’m sinking into my bed / Can’t wake up out of this dread…”

“HEX” is out now, available on streaming platforms.
