Pop-rock singer GALE has released her latest single, “Inevitable,” a touching rendition of Shakira’s 1998 smash hit. The cover is part of her DEBUT ALBUM Lo Que No Te Dije, jam packed with a good mix of dance, pop and punk rock.

GALE’s version of “Inevitable” breathes new energy into the Latin rock classic, blending electronic elements and roaring guitars with ease. The song kicks in with a similar soft intro, then it explodes into 80s inspired synths, sticking with the pop vibe until we reach the chorus and return to Shakira’s rock sound in “Inevitable.” GALE manages to preserve the rowdy essence of the original, paying homage to its roots, while adding a modern twist that brings the iconic hit to new heights.

Staying true to the sense of angst that “Inevitable” has, GALE’s vocals are equally soft and strong, conveying the intensity of the original track with a renewed passion. As a testament to the power of GALE’s rendition, Shakira herself gave her a heartfelt shoutout on her socials recently, thanking her for such a beautiful version of her song. “Inevitable” brings latin rock to the forefront, with two generations of Latinas coming together for a well deserved tribute.
