Colorado’s feminist punk mainstays Cheap Perfume are back with Don’t Care. Didn’t Ask. Due out Oct. 3 via Snappy Little Numbers, the upcoming release is a snarling, glitter-soaked molotov cocktail hurled at capitalism and the crushing apathy of modern life.
Already known for their caustic wit and high-energy performances, Cheap Perfume continues to turn rage into riot-ready anthems. The album’s latest single “Down To Riot” is now streaming, following “Woke Mind Virus.”
Known for their no-holds-barred lyrics and riot grrrl revivalist energy, Cheap Perfume has carved out a fierce following since forming in 2015. Their previous albums, Nailed It (2016) and Burn It Down (2019), established them as a blistering voice against systemic oppression. Vocalist/guitars Jane No shares:
“’Don’t Care. Didn’t Ask.’ is an uninhibited call to anti-capitalist revolution presented as a collection of punk rock protest songs, breakup songs and party songs. It stays true to Cheap Perfume’s signature angry-yet-melodic sound while railing against systems of oppression and America’s descent into fascism.”
Don’t Care. Didn’t Ask. marks the band’s third full-length release and finds them doubling down on their signature blend of angry, catchy punk.
Fans can pre-order the album and stay updated via their Linktree.
