Color Palette is “Grateful” in new single

Date:

The alternative-rock single “Grateful,” released on Jan. 24, is a smashing new hit by Color Palette. Focused on reflection and gratitude, lead singer Jay Nemeyer combines intense guitar and drums with soft, airy vocals, keeping listeners hooked on the ebb and flow of emotions.

Originally from Washington D.C., Color Palette has further established themselves with a Washington Area Music Award, and most recently an EP released through Enroute Records in 2023. The five-member band will be releasing other singles in addition to “Grateful,” leading up to a full-length record to be released later in 2025.

“Grateful” is the mixture of various sounds, all of which create an angsty mood, yet lyrically it develops into reflection and gratitude. The 2010s indie mystique combined with the alternative, melancholic sound of the mid- to late 90s is perfectly captured by Color Palette in this moving track.

The group has shared the stage with many popular singers, most notably Charli XCX. Featured in shows, commercials and other broadcasts, Color Palette remains popular over speakers across the nation. Similar to groups such as Bleachers or Nirvana, it’s hard for listeners to hear “Grateful” and not get hooked.
