Boy In Space released a new EP, Copium, with final single “Mayflowers” hitting Spotify on May 31st. An official music video for “Mayflowers” was unveiled alongside the EP. This EP dives into his personal battles with his physical and mental health in a way that his previous work hasn’t.

“Mayflowers” is an emotional pop ballad that details a young and doomed romance. Powerfully cinematic instrumentals back Lundbäck’s passion-filled vocals. Lines like “keep the sweater, because I know you’re going to miss us in September” and “we were young and we had superpowers” are packed with nostalgia that bring the audience into this lost relationship. The narrator finds himself “running through the mayflowers” of his memories “trying to forget her”.
