As It Is make their triumphant return with hopeful new single “Lose Your Way & Find Yourself”

Date:

Following the re-recording of their debut record Never Happy, Ever After earlier this year, As It Is are officially back with the first taste of brand new music since 2022 with “Lose Your Way & Find Yourself.” Alongside the release, the British-American pop-punk band announced that they’ve signed with FLG and are in the process of creating their fifth album.

The new single is a bright, cathartic track that celebrates healing and vulnerability. Frontman Patty Walters sings of embracing your past mistakes and what lies ahead as you embark on the daunting journey of recovery. The emotional, heartfelt lyrics show As It Is at their most raw and sincere, especially through lines like “You’re going to let it hurt / ‘Cause it’s how you’re going to learn you’re enough alrеady” and “Cause I never felt so brave / That January day I asked for help.” Co-founder Ben Langford-Biss shares,

“We haven’t written a song together that is brutal heart on sleeve honesty in what we have gone through without having to fit it to a narrative or fit it to an album. However, you can never manufacture genuine connection with people. Just find what is honest to you and honest to your journey, and that’s all any artist has to offer to the world.”

The return of As It Is marks an entirely new chapter for the band as they take control of their story and career for the first time. Walters shares,

“In the past I had no choice but to be in As It Is. This new era of the band is my choice. Our choice. A choice.”

As It Is will be hitting the road on their first UK and U.S. headlining tour since their hiatus to celebrate the beginning of this new era and the 10 year anniversary of Never Happy, Ever After. The tour kicks off on September 21st in Glasgow, UK and concludes with their appearance at the Orlando stop of Vans Warped Tour in November.
