Andy Tongren is a Brooklyn based singer-songwriter and lead singer of the band Young Rising Sons. His new single “Franconia” is an uplifting reverie on surrendering to the serendipity of each moment. Tongren celebrates the destiny of finding the perfect place or person to experience life with over rolling riffs and grounded lyricism.
“Franconia” comes alive with bustling percussion, twang-infused chords of guitar, and energized harmonies. Tongren sings, “I want to see that sunrise in your eyes / May we climb too high.” The single is an ode to nature that commemorates the beauty of simplicity. The music video for the track captures Tongren exploring vibrant vignettes in the wilderness. “Franconia” is a spirited foot-stomper that reminds us of the happiness beneath our feet.
Revealing more on his song, Tongren confides, “’Franconia’ is about falling in love – with a person, a place, or both all at once. It’s the sudden, undeniable pull that feels destined. Tongren’s band Young Rising Sons have opened for acts among the likes of The 1975, Weezer, Bleachers, and Halsey. “Franconia” is Tongren’s second release as a solo artist which sets the stage for an enticing array of new music to follow.
