Ones to Watch: Our list of artists you shouldn’t miss in 2022’s Madcool Festival

Madcool Festival is finally coming to Madrid this summer after two years of not having our favourite festival of the captital. Five days filled with live music that we cannot wait to experience. With Twenty One Pilots, Queens of the Stone Age and Florence + The Machine in the line up, we could not be more excited for the 6th of July to come. Here are some of the artists you shoudn’t miss this year!

 

 

#1: ALFIE TEMPLEMAN

Vistas, Sea Girls, The Night Café.

First up, having just released his debut album Mellow Moon, we have Alfie Templeman. The British singer/songwriter will be playing in Madrid for the first time and we are so excited! Check out Alfie’s latest single featured in his new album “Colour Me Blue”:

#2: STORMZY

Bugzy Malone, Yungen, Avelino.

After headlining every big festival you can think of, it was time that we had the chance of seeing him live in Madrid. The London based artist has never played in Madrid before and Madcool Festival is the perfect place to see him live for the first time! #3: PHOEBE BRIDGERS

Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker, Snail Mail.

Next up is the LA-based Phoebe Bridgers, who will visit the Capital in the middle her US tour. Her songs instantly transport us to that time of a festival day in which the sun has gone down and you still have some of your favourite sets left. Take a look at “Day After Tomorrow” here:

#4: GANG OF YOUTHS

The Australian band Gang Of Youths formed in 2011, is currently touring their third studio album “angel in real time” and we cannot wait o have them back in Madrid this summer. Check out this live session of “tend the garden” from their latest album:

#5: SAM FENDER

The last time the British artist visited Madrid was in a very small venue definitely too long ago. For all of us that did not get the chance to see him live then, the last day of Madcool will be a dream! With already two albums out, we are sure Sam Fender will be one of the artists you don’t want to miss in this year’s festival. Take a look at the official video for his song “Getting Started” here:
