Violet Horizon release new 80s-inspired single “Spiraling”

Date:

Violet Horizon uses an 80s approach on their newest single, “Spiraling”. The song incorporates synth and piano throughout, with a vibrant and new rock sound. A mixture of hyperpop and pop punk, the instrumentation in “Spiraling” feels like getting off the couch after a long night spent inside watching 80s romcoms.

Emotion driven lyrics tell the story of someone struggling to regulate their emotions and who is stuck spiraling in loops. The narrator laments about how they have trouble with figuring out what is real or not, falling into holes where they feel like they can no longer take care of themselves.

The fantastical and otherworldly instrumentation works well with these lyrics and plays into the idea that the narrator of the song is slowly losing touch with reality.
