Silent Child delivers explosive alt-rock track “Gel Well Soon”

Date:

Los Angeles-based producer Silent Child has released “Get Well Soon,” an explosive alt-rock track off his new EP, Voices In The Dark. The new song opens with electric guitars and catchy verses that lead to an irresistible rock-infused instrumental chorus.

Although upbeat and ultimately optimistic, “Get Well Soon” is a reflective song in which the artist seemingly opens up about mental health struggles caused by the overwhelming weight of responsibilities that come with adult life. In the pre-chorus, he sings, “I’m immune to connection / Divine intervention / Ain’t getting me out of my room / So if I’m the same as you / Then I really hope you get well soon / Hope you get well.”

About the meaning behind the song, Silent Child says:

“‘Get Well Soon’ talks about insecurity and healing. Urging understanding that everyone is going through something and no one is alone. However, the only thing truly holding you back from greatness is yourself.”

Originally from Georgia, Silent Child began his musical journey as a producer and multi-instrumentalist in the early 2010s, exploring dubstep and electronic music. Over time, he began incorporating rock, hip-hop, and R&B into his sound, creating a unique genre-blurring style. In 2020, he released his breakout single “Fuck You,” which, along with follow-ups “Super Villain” and “Me & My Demons,” has amassed over one hundred million streams on Spotify.
