Lollapalooza Lineup

Live music is back baby! After being a guinea pig for music festivals last year, Chicago’s Lollapalooza once again proves they are a leader of North American music festivals with their 2022 lineup released today.

In celebration of their 31st anniversary, Lollapalooza will take place over four days (from July 28-31) at Grant Park in Chicago, IL.

Following the diverse, multi-genre lineup (while launching the careers of up-and-coming artists) recipe that has made Lollapalooza a household name is their 2022 lineup with headliners: Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Green Day, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, and Kygo.

Jane’s Addiction, Glass Animals, Billy Strings, Big Sean, The Kid Laroi, Jazmine Sullivan, Don Toliver, Charli XCX, Idles, Turnstile, Kaskade, and Rezz are just some of the 170+ artists playing the festival.

We can’t forget about the up-and-coming artists we love to feature here at Melodic Mag who are scheduled to play the fest – including Gracie Abrams, Fletcher, Del Water Gap, Remi Wolf, Pom Pom Squad, and Chicago’s own Beach Bunny.

Taking place over four days, with 170+ artists and nine stages, Lollapalooza is more than a festival and is bringing back the Bonus Tracks Stage (first introduced in 2021). The stage area is described as

“a magical area within Grant Park where community, dancing, mindfulness, and inclusivity drive each day’s programming. It is a place to create connections, move your body, and open your mind in between musical performances.”

Also returning this year is Kidzapalooza (shelved in 2021) which is an interactive music playground within the festival, and which features a lineup of family-friendly performances, activities, music, and dance workshops and more.

The most surprising new addition to this year’s fest is the variety of unique NFT options and experiences that will be available to fans throughout the festival season. Fans will be able to purchase NFTs that will be minted and can be collected and traded for artistic value; each with various levels of IRL benefits on the fest grounds. Follow the Official Lollapalooza Metaverse Twitter account @LollaFrens to receive updates on Lolla’s NFT offerings.

4-Day General Admission, GA+, VIP and Platinum Tickets are now on sale, with 1-Day tickets being available at a later date. To purchase tickets visit www.lollapalooza.com/tickets. Kids 10 and under get in free with a ticketed adult.

Stay tuned for our list of up-and-coming artists you can’t miss at Lollapalooza.
