Lil Tecca’s latest album DOPAMINE has debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, earning 419 million worldwide streams in just 10 days. The project also ranks No. 2 on the Top Streaming Albums chart, No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart.
Released June 13 via Galactic Records/Republic Records, DOPAMINE is Tecca’s sixth full-length project. The album has received critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Billboard, marking a new era for the 22-year-old New York native.
“I’m leaning into my pleasures in all avenues of life,” Tecca said, explaining that the album represents his current mindset. With its thoughtful and focused direction, DOPAMINE is being hailed as his most personal and refined work to date.
The album rollout began in March with the hit single “Dark Thoughts,” a dance-floor anthem featuring nostalgic, Neptunes-inspired production. The track spent 14 consecutive weeks in the top 60 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Tecca first broke out with his 2019 debut album We Love You Tecca. Known for his clever wordplay, melodic fluidity, and stylistic production, he has since become a multi-platinum artist with hits like “Ransom” (7x platinum), “Love Me” (2x platinum), and “Did It Again” (2x platinum). He has also collaborated with artists including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, The Kid LAROI, and more.
