Jack Antonoff is celebrating his 41st birthday in a big way. Today, he announced that his festival, Shadow of the City, will expand to both coasts in 2025 for its seventh year.

For the first time, the festival will take place in two locations: Shadow of the City East will be held at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on June 28, while Shadow of the City West will debut at Great Park Live in Irvine, California, on October 25.

Antonoff also revealed the festival’s lineups, which features a mix of artists and comedians. Shadow of the City East will include Joyce Manor, Dora Jar, Ben Kweller, and Mike Birbiglia, while Shadow of the City West features Remi Wolf, The Maine, Bartees Strange, and Chris Fleming. Antonoff’s band, Bleachers, will headline both dates.

In a new statement via Instagram post, Antonoff shares:

“time to come back together. THE 7TH SOTC IS JUNE 28TH at the stone pony summer stage. a lot to catch up on. some new surprises and the dunk tank and gone now bedroom back. and for the first time ever… shadow west! october 25th in irvine. growing up on tour and playing in orange county i would come home and tell people the shows had the jersey feeling. didn’t have the “shadow of the city” language in my head back then but i knew what was coming from the audience. some of the best nights of my life happened at the chain reaction. so… orange county here we come!”

Tickets for both events go on sale Friday, April 4, at 10 a.m. local time. As always, $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Antonoff’s nonprofit, The Ally Coalition, which supports LGBTQ+ youth.
