deegie is a Los Angeles based artist giving us the inside scoop on her exes through an electric, pop-punk collection inspired by her former flings. Her new single “Go Be With Becca (Zach)” is written about an ex-boyfriend named Zach who vies to get deegie back after cheating despite his actions.
“Go Be With Becca (Zach)” is supercharged with heavy-handed riffs, burgeoning percussion, and vocals that skyrocket through the ceiling. deegie sings, “I need you out of my head / Go be with Becca instead.” With quick-witted digs that cut like a knife, deegie gets the better half of revenge on her sweltering breakup track. “Go Be With Becca (Zach)” points out the hypocrisy of a cheater trying to rekindle his romance after the damage has already been done. deegie finds her inner-fire over rapturous riffs and a strong, independent vocal at the heart of the track.
“Go Be With Becca (Zach)” is the fifth single from deegie’s upcoming EP. Entitled EXES, the EP focuses on the different stories behind each one of deegie’s breakups.
