Badflower releases new single “Snuff”

Date:

Badflower is back with their latest single, “Snuff,” which dropped earlier this week, and has fans craving the new album set to release later this month. Blurring the lines between pleasure and pain, Snuff dismantles conventional ideas of romance in favor of something darkly alluring and deeply unsettling. The track lures listeners into a shadowy emotional space, where suffering is the main event.

Josh Katz’s vocal performance is chilling, as he switches between whispering pleas and unhinged screams. Just as the song threatens to collapse under its own weight, a jaw-dropping musical intermission flips the entire mood offering a different kind of intensity. This unpredictable structure is a hallmark of Badflower’s music, and it makes one thing crystal clear nothing about their upcoming album No Place Like Home will be predictable.

Written entirely sober for the first time by Katz, No Place Like Home marks a new era for the Los Angeles-bred, now Nashville-based band. Vulnerable and self-reflective, the album dives deep into emotional isolation, mental decay, and fading identities—anchored by their signature blend of gritty rock. Snuff follows the release of previous singles London and Paws,” each one peeling back a different layer of the album’s intensity.

As a standalone track, Snuff is a raw, immersive descent into emotional chaos. As part of No Place Like Home, it’s another warning that this album is a must listen.

No Place Like Home drops June 20. Pre-save the album here
