On Sunday, March 8th, the lineup at Atlanta’s Masquerade was stacked with four incredible bands: Aviana, Caskets, Currents, and Erra, as the headliner. The venue was packed, open floor, and you could feel the anticipation in the room before the first band even stepped on stage.
Aviana came out first and set the tone for the entire night. The guitarists wore masks, which added this dark, mysterious vibe that matched their sound perfectly. They opened with “Evermore,” and right away the crowd locked in. They finished their set with “Obsession,” which was the perfect way to end their set and kick off the night.
Next up was Caskets, who brought great energy to the stage and opened with “Make Me a Martyr.” When “Drowned in Emotion” started playing, the entire venue lit up with phones in the air. They wrapped up their set with “Glass Heart,” and the crowd was fully warmed up by that point.
Then Currents came out and the headbanging really started. The lead singer’s long hair flying everywhere just added to the whole vibe of the set. They opened with “So Alone,” and the pit started getting more active right away. When they played “Monsters,” the mosh pit really took off.
By the time Erra hit the stage, everyone was ready to go. They opened with “Gore of Being,” and when the beat dropped the mosh pit flooded into the center of the room. They finished the night with “Snowblood,” which was an incredible way to close out the show.
Overall, every band brought incredible energy, the crowd was fully into it, and the stage lighting was perfect.
